Heavy weight drill pipe

The structural feature of the weighted drill pipe is medium weight. The drill tool is similar to the drill pipe. Its wall thickness is larger than the drill pipe and smaller than the drill collar. It is generally added between the drill pipe and the drill collar when forming the drill string to prevent the section of the drill string. The sudden change reduces the fatigue of the drill pipe. Used in directional wells, it can drill at high speed with lower torque, reducing the wear and damage of the drill string. Due to its small contact area with the well wall, it is not easy to form a pressure differential stuck. The weighted drill pipe implements API 7-1 and API 7-2 standards.

1、*The internal diameter of the large tube increases by 1/8 compared to the nominal size. The minimum inner diameter of the pipe body is controlled by the requirements of the drift diameter gauge.
2、The diameter of the drift diameter gauge is based on the inner diameter tolerance of the middle thickened section of the pipe body.
